This week has been hectic. I not only started classes, I also changed my major, signed a lease for next year, created a new project at work – and started researching internships.

Needless to say, I've had very little time to devote to daydreaming about the opposite sex.
Apparently, I'm not the only female out there who would rather prepare cover letters and resumes than watch The Departed for the fifth time and eat McDonald's with a boy. A new study published in the scientific journal "Gender Roles" was discussed on CNN.com and stated that men "prioritized romantic relationships over achievement goals" at a slightly higher percentage than women. The numbers show that women (who have the reputation of being all about romance and finding Mr. Right) are more interested in pursuing their own life goals than male counterparts. Who woulda thunk?

So don't feel bad if you have to blow off your boyfriend for the third night in a row just to catch up on your Formal Logic homework. In the words of one of my favorite musicians, it seems the times really are a-changin'.
