Glimpse of Gorgeous: Not Your Grandma's Pantyhose!

They forecasted snow last night in Blacksburg. It didn't actually snow, it just rained and did other gross Blacksburg things, but it is certainly cold. As I got ready for work this morning, I made a sad, longing, face at my peep-toed pumps, tossed my flip flops into the back of my closet, and eyed my favorite grey kimono dress. Then, I grabbed the dress, my black patent pointy-toed pumps, and a pair of wardrobe-saving, happiness-preserving, Blacksburg-enduring, black textured tights.

I have to admit, I was a bit leary of this trend at first, but as I sit at my desk this morning, all nice and warm, I think I am finally a believer.

Tights (NOT leggings, I repeat NOT LEGGINGS) are the perfect way to utilize your favorite summer dress and turn it into a fall/winter piece. Wearing tights that match your shoes, cause your legs to appear longer, and thick, textured tights provide extra warmth. Boots (both ankle and tall) also look ultra chic with tights!

But you don't have to live in a region with strange weather patterns to love tights. Try them yourself, keep warm, and be GORGEOUS!
