Politically Savvy: Annapolis Peace Summit Tomorrow

Tomorrow, November 27, marks a potentially historic date for the longstanding Palestinian-Israeli conflict. The leaders of Israel, Palestine, Syria, Saudi Arabia, Lebanon, Egypt, and several other Arab states, along with President Bush and Secretary of State Condoleezza Rice, will be convening in Annapolis, Maryland in a 24-hour meeting to attempt to finally strike a peace deal after years and years of conflict and turmoil in the region.

While many similar peace conferences have happened before over the last 40 years, many people have renewed hope for the potential to reach a compromise at this conference. The world will certainly be watching for news updates out of Annapolis over the next couple of days – check out continuing coverage of it here.
