With the holiday season coming to an end, and the spring semester just around the corner, it's important to cram in as much relaxation as possible during these last few weeks of winter break. A day at the spa is always fabulous, but for those of us who can't exactly afford to blow $300 plus for a spa treatment, consider throwing your very own "Spa Party!"

Get all your friends together and enjoy a blissful spa day, from the comfort of your own house! If you've got a little extra cash in your budget, consider hosting a spa party, sponsored by a spa, where the products are included. This can get a bit pricey though. There are tons of really great spa products, that are super easy to find, all on a very reasonable budget.

INVITATIONS ONLY

Since we're sticking with a no stress theme, don't fret about the cost of your invitations. Cafepress.com has some great spa party invitations. This one is by far my favorite, it's fun, colorful and will surely get your pals ready for a day of some much-needed R&R.

Invites come eight per pack and can be purchased here.

As always, if you're feeling crafty, consider making your own. This will give you more room in your budget to splurge on some really great spa products. Try making construction paper cutouts of your favorite items. Consider nail polish or lotion bottle cut outs. All you need is construction paper, markers and little bit of ribbon.

PRODUCTS

A day at the spa can get quite expensive. Fortunately, there are lots of really great product lines out there that will create your very own spa experience from the comfort of your own home. Consider using Massagewarehouse.com to get your spa party products. While not all supplies are inexpensive, they've got a wide array to choose from. The Amber Garden Mint Algae Face and Body Masque, pictured left, comes in 11oz containers for only $7.99 each (plus shipping).

This is a great product, especially if you plan on having numerous guests. The mask is easy to apply and everyone can use it. Also consider the Amber Sedona Face and Body Mud Masque. Price is $11.99 for each jar.

The "Kur Sugar Scrub" is another great item available on the site. Jars are 16oz. at $10.99 each and are available in lavender, peppermint, tangerine and brown sugar.

Check out www.massagewarehouse.com for tons of really great spa products, with everything from masques, to towels, nail polishes etc. Depending on what you order, the price will vary.

Splurge!

If you're willing to spend a bit more, check out www.warmspirit.org for some fabulous spa products and packages. They've got everything from hair products to body lotions to face masks and much much more! I would highly recommend this site for purchasing your spa products, if you can afford to spend a little. Cost will range between $100-$200 if you purchase the essentials for your guests, but in the long run, the relaxation will be well worth the price!

SWEET SLURPS

Stick with a relaxing theme and consider serving some low-key yet tasty beverages. Try mimosa's if you're thinking of serving cocktails at your party. They're easy to make and only require a dash or orange juice and a splash of champagne. Perfect if you've got a few extra bottles lying around after New Years.'s

For those under 21, consider trying a Mint Lime Cooler. This dainty drink will be a nice addition to your already relaxing day.

 MIX IT UP:

1/2 cup lime juice

Pitcher of water

Mint leaves

Voila!

Also consider putting out fruit plates and cheese and crackers to serve as pickings for your party.

THE ATTIRE

No spa day is complete without those fabulous, soft terrycloth robes! Don't stress over the cost of robes for your guests. Target has these great plush robes available for only $13.99 each. They're soft, comfy and affordable! It is also not necessary to supply the robes for your party, but a nice add on if possible.

SIT BACK AND RELAX

Ask your guests to bring slippers and their favorite shade of nail polish. While some of you are getting a mud mask, others can be doing nails and sipping your mimosa's! Throw on some relaxing music and lounge around with your girls for the day. This will surely be a nice end to your winter break.
