Go here to read the first chapter in Jade's 2008 diary.
Imagine. Greg, the Wall St. lawyer, actually thought he was gonna get some booty that night. He had a room booked. He started planning his conquest as soon as he found out that Denise and I were planning to go to AC. I guess he thought I would be so caught up in his faux surprise that I would head straight with him to the room, strip, and allow him hit the jackpot. I guess he forgot he was in Atlantic City. That place is set up for failure and his underhanded roll at the sex dice resulted in snake eyes.
Too bad for him, I guess he thought I was one of those chicken-head broads that would leave their friends hanging for the chance to be with a man. He was sadly mistaken. Iām not going to say in the past I hadnāt ditched a couple of friends for men. I think when we all embark on a new relationship we tend to spend tons of time with our romantic interest, thereby neglecting our friends.
I guess in the end we know that if it doesnāt work out or if we get tired of our new man that we got our friends. Even Denise has been guilty of it a time or two, but I was not going to ditch her on an outing we planned together to have sex with someone who barely has time for me. Imagine me forcing Denise to drive home by herself. She would never speak to me again...well, that might be reaching. But I know I would be on her sh*t list for a minute.
I told him that Denise had drank a lot and that I felt that she was in no condition to take that sort of drive by herself. I insisted that she stayed with us in the room. He looked a little stunned. I guess he thought we would have been at third base by now, instead he was striking out. With no other alternative he agreed and we headed to the elevator to go to the room.
The elevator ride was filled with awkward silence between the three of us while everyone else was reveling in the New Year. Denise probably felt like a third wheel unsure what would happen once we arrived at the room. Greg was disappointed because by this time Iām sure he was realizing that nothing was going to be popping off between us.
I was thankful--thankful that Denise was around to help me dodge a bullet. At this point my answer to us being lovers would definitely be NO. I havenāt spent enough time with him to develop the closeness I require to sleep with a person. He is not drop dead gorgeous either. Donāt get me wrong, he is good looking. He just isnāt Tyson Beckford fine or Brad Pitt fine. You know the kind of fine that would make you abandon your principles and sleep with them just off of pure lust. Greg doesnāt evoke that type of desire in me.
By the time we got to the room Greg looked completely agitated. He claimed he got a room, but it was actually a suite. The place was immaculate. He had roses, a bottle of champagne, and strawberries in the room when he got their. This was grown man romancing right here. He laid out a grip for this seduction scene. It was designed to make my panties drop as soon as I passed through the threshold. I was flattered but annoyed at the same time. I mean even with Justinās money he never had did anything this extravagant for me. When we went away we vacationed at houses, but they belonged to his parents. This endeavor was funded out of Gregās pockets. But my body is worth more than a suite at the Taj Mahal. Did he really think I was going to give it up for a suite and some expensive grapes and roses? He would stand a better shot if he just spent time with me.
Before I knew it, the flattery feeling evaporated and I was left with being annoyed. I had one toast with everyone, grabbed a couple of strawberries, and went to bed. I insisted that Denise sleep in the bed. Let him be the odd man out, no one told him to try to spend his money to get slick anyway.
He looked downright pissed when I said that. I guess he thought he was going to climb in bed with me and we have quiet sex while Denise was sleeping. NOTā¦.big NOT! I woke up before the roosters and woke Denise up. We slowly walked out of the room on the tips of our toes without waking Greg. On the ride home Denise chuckled at my start of the New Year by singing Snoop Doogās "Sensual Seduction." Of course I was not amused.
āGirlā¦.you sho know how to pick āem. By the way, Iām not going to be saving your ass like this in the ā08.ā
āWhatever. You just lucky I didnāt leave you on the casino floor. See I love you despite of your taunts.ā
āIf you woulda done that I woulda whooped you until it was time for me to go back to California. You better not ever play me out like that.ā
āI would never do that. You are my best friend.ā
āAwwww Jadeā¦.but that room was supa dupa fly if you had been by yourself you might have got caught. At least that man gets an A for effort. It is about time you started dealing with men like that. Do you plan on giving him any?
āI donāt know yet. I mean he is cool when I can catch up with him, but Iām not into casual sex. But he does know how to seduce a woman. At this point it all depends on how he plays his cards.ā
Later on I got a text from Ty that read: Happy New Year Jade. I hope that you get everything that you want. I wish you nothing but peace, prosperity, love and an abundance of blessings. Make ā08 your year.
Ty always knew the right thing to say. I text him back wishing him the same. I couldnāt get in touch with Greg at all this week. Doesnāt surprise me, I guess he is still pissed about the room. Oh well, that is the brakes. He will come around when he feels like it.
Denise and I had dinner after work on Wednesday and she dropped quite a bomb on me, but it is the best bomb I heard in months. It looks like ā08 is definitely off to an interesting but good start!
