Chic Product Review: Auve Skincare

Finding the right skin care products isn't always easy. It's important to find one that will treat your skin with enough care to soften and smooth, but also one that will whip it into shape! The Auvê skincare line does just that.

Angella Sprauve, a graduate of the University of California and a very talented researcher and scientist, created the Auvê skin care product line. I recently tried Auvê's Exfolimoist Body Polish and the Daytime Moisturizer. Two words for both of these products—absolutely fabulous!

I have always had trouble finding an exfoliator that won't damage my skin. Because it is very sensitive, most exfoliators really beat up the surface, leaving me with red, irritated skin rather than a nice, smooth finish. I was very pleased with the ExfoliMoist Body Polish. Simply apply the product onto wet/ damp skin (I typically used this product in the shower). Then rinse with warm water and pat dry with a towel or cloth.

I can honestly say that my skin has NEVER felt smoother than after using the ExfoliMoist Body Polish. I felt as though I didn't even need lotion after I got out of the shower, which is a rare occurrence for me. The scent of ExfoliMoist Body Polish is just as pleasant as the results. It resembles a soft citrus odor, not too strong, but just strong enough to leave to add a nice touch. The ExfoliMoist Body Polish is $9.50 for an 8oz. jar, and $18.00 for a 16 oz. jar. I used the 16oz. jar over the course of three weeks, and even with applying generously, I still have some remaining today.

I also tested out the Daytime Moisturizer. Finding the right moisturizer can be tough because it's hard to find one that fits most skin types. So I decided to share the lotion with my mom to get a true sense of how this product would work on different skin types. My mother is 57, and constantly trying to find a product that is anti-aging. She found that the Daytime Moisturizer was ideal for her skin, allowing her to feel young and refreshed.

As directed, I applied the moisturizer to my face and neck on a daily basis. It doesn't matter whether applied immediately after showering, but this is the technique I used. After each use my skin felt soft, and light. The softness did not fade quickly, lasting for a few hours at a time (about 3-4). The scent of this product is also quite pleasant, with a light, clean scent to it. Moisturizers can tend to weigh down one's skin rather than brighten and enhance it. Auvê's Daytime Moisturizer certainly got the job done! I left for work every morning feeling very fresh and clean.The Daytime Moisturizer is priced at $29.95 for a 1.7 oz container. I also have a great deal of the lotion remaining after using a generous amount daily for three weeks.
